    If you are really bored and have nothing better to do on what looks like is going to be a COLD day. Saturday is the Mid Winter Get Together at Rough and Tumble Engineers Historic Association in Kinzer PA. Not much will be going on but a bunch of the members get together and chew the fat. There will be some black smithing going on, and the Model Shop usually has continuous running videos from previous shows probably be some folks in the line shaft machine shop and whoever show up. So if you are curious about Rough and Tumble it is a good time to come and ask questions and they don't charge admission.

    Your correct! They even teach Steam School every spring to teach people how to Engineer trains, steam traction engines, stationary steam engines, etc. Last Threshermens Reunion (the big show each year) I counted 26 working steam tractors, there are two working steam trains on the grounds and it is home to lots of working stationary steam engines. They also have the oldest operating internal combustion engine in North America, loads of hit and miss engines, a Tandem Double Acting engine with a 21 1/2” bore and 36” stroke, sterling engines, antique tractors an operating saw mill, shingle mill, threashing machines, etc. There is a steam shovel, steam roller, steam crane, donkey engine, steam lawn mower, etc

    Most of the equipment will not be working or even open because of the cold weather but the "Get Together" is a chance to learn where it is and if you might want to come back when everything is running.
