    Summary: MD is getting sued.

Edit 2/15/2011: Removed article text in accordance with new article quoting rules. Not that I think SAF will sue us but I want to be certain that I am not the cause of it.

Its time to donate to SAF. They're fighting this battle in New York too.
I haven't donated to SAF or MSI in the past as I'm sure many have not. Now is a important time to make a contribution.

It is only $150 to become a life member.

I seem to remember saying ad nauseum, I'm sure that Maryland gun owners are going to have to open their wallets and put their boots on the ground to affect change on the matter of shall issue in Maryland.

When I get home, I'm going to write the biggest pair of checks I've ever written to both MSI and SAF. It's time to pony up, folks.

Exactly. Maryland was never going to change the permit situation without getting sued.

Now Alan Gura and the SAF are fighting Maryland.

Just joined SAF and sent 50 bucks.

EVERYONE here should do the same.

I just joined about three weeks ago. Makes me feel mighty darned proud of the SAF.

OK, folks, it's time to pony on up and join or donate money to the cause. If you want to carry, then do something about it!

“Individuals cannot be required to demonstrate that carrying a handgun is ‘necessary as a reasonable precaution against apprehended danger’ as a prerequisite for exercising their Second Amendment rights.”

this could be THE dambreaker, turning MD into a "shall issue" state.

You forgot the operative clause here.

Plaintiffs are seeking a permanent injunction against enforcement of the Maryland provision that requires permit applicants to “demonstrate cause” for the issuance of a carry permit.
