    I don't have weekends free now for the most part. I had a profile set up with them from like 2010. Just updated it and applied. If that's what it takes to talk to them.

    Not that I can apply for the position anyway, but the last item on their "preferred" list seems to be the key qualifier to me.

    I am wondering how the LEOSA desire fits in? Since they can get someone the permits to carry. Just odd wanting that.

    Saves them the trouble/expense of funding the permit requirement, since LEOSA preempts the need for state permits (I think; not being LE, I am not entirely sure of the legality on that one).

    ETA - It also predetermines that the applicant has 10 years of LE experience.

    I know my agency, as do probably most others issue a retirement id and badge for your LEOSA creds. Pretty sure that isn't happening while working for a company.
