Several places have the Ruger Precision rifle RPR in stock. Sportsman outdoor has them for $1099.99 shipped and sportsman guide has them for $1050 shipped in .308.

How many members are going to wait till the price drop and how much would you like to pay? Scope choice and in what caliber?

There was post in this forum offered $950 few months ago. I have seen online sold price ranging from as low as $850.

I would love to have one in .308. I'll wait a while before I buy one.

As far as scope selection I would go the route of a Vortex Viper. Not sure what magnification. Most likely a 4-14x40.

That's a good round. However, I don't plan on using this rifle over 1000 yard or so. Therefore, I don't see why spending over a dollar per round for 6.5 vs 308 half of the price.

I've got a few 308'/ ranging from 30" barrels to 16", if I didn't have those i would probably buy it in 308.

I just want some real world reviews

Not trying to jack the thread but would like to know if anyone has seen one of the Mossberg MVP-LC models in .308?

Good for you. This will be my first .308 bolt action. The only .308 I have is the C308. As reviews go, I think this is a shooter, nice looking rifle except the stock and pretty reasonable priced precision rifle unlike those that costs at least double. I think the colt 2012 bolt looks pretty similar that sells for 3k.

To be honest, I haven't heard of it. So I went online and checked. Price is pretty much similar, but without knowing much about the rifle, I would have to just judge based on the look. I personally like the Ruger look over the Mossberg. And one of the feature I like on the Ruger is that it has a folding stock for easier storage.

As stated, both sportsman guide and sportsman outdoor have them in stock.
You are incorrect sir. They are unavailable at at least one of those stores as they were yesterday when I hit the notify me when back in stock button following seeing your op.

    Edit...at both stores OOS.

You can, of course, correct me again but then that's not needed...for me anyhow.

There's no need to correct you sir! They were in stock when the time I posted this. And it's now out of stock and SG stated you can pre order them FYI
