New used rifle

I usually miss out on deals like this, so I snagged this one. Uberti 1860, case colored action, 44-40, $695. I don't think this rifle was fired since she left Italy.

One shop in NOVA has 44-40 ammo, $50 a box of Ultramax. At least it's enough for a 10 round range session and a CAS match. I'm getting reloading stuff for her next month.

I need ammo for next week, it appears I'm going to have to bite the bullet and spend $51 + tax on a box of 50 44-40 rounds.

If I wasn't in a hurry I'd order brass, bullets, and dies but they won't get here until after this weekend, which won't give me time to do any testing.

She shoots as good as she looks. No problem cycling ammo. I bought two boxen of Ultramax ammo, $105 OTD. I was scrambling for the brass after shooting. Some dipstick two lanes down from me decided to take a stroll and kicked three of them out of the way. Anywho, looks like Tuesday she'll be making her maiden match voyage at the NRA Range with the Virginia City Marshals. I can't wait.
