I have been thinking of this for my very last purchase before October.
I have one of these in the SWAT config w/o the stabilizing brace. Thinking about selling it for cash towards another AR. Not sure if this will be banned come Oct 1 though. Its on the handgun register, so...

Purchased up a p226 special configuration in 9mm yesterday. It appears to be built on the MK 25 frame with coated internals, has front cocking serrations but no elite branding (like the extremes), threaded barrel, night sights, and SRT. Will post porn on pickup with it next to my P556 SWAT :-)

This is correct. Having the thicker or thinner trigger has nothing to do with whether or not the gun has the SRT. You cannot tell just by looking at the trigger.

But, if the P226 in question is an actual E2 model and not just a regular P226 with the E2 kit on it, it comes standard with the SRT. You could also take a look at Sigs webpage for the now discontinued P226 E2. Its says right in the description that it comes with the SRT standard.

I suggest contacting Sig CS to get the answer. You can also look at the label on the case. Generally it says "SRT" on it.
    Like so:

Here is a way to tell by looking... Found these posted somewhere.
