Ok, so is the C93 Sporter GTG in MD?

I found a few made by CA and some reference it is "Based" on the Hk93 but with Hk33 Parts, Re-Barreled in 223/556?

But according to what has been noted that if parts are interchangeable its a NoGo. But also noted the C93 is a CETME base rifle... So which is it...??? Seem like when a thread starts on a question it always gets side tracked...

It technically should be legal since the original AW list only mentions the HK93A2 as being banned which is the fixed stock model. That technicality would mean, ironically, it would need a folding or collapsible stock to be MD legal.

However Nate said the MSP website lists the folding models of the HK93 banned which is against the law unless they are calling it a "copycat" (even when muzzle brakes are not hard to find) but the MSP as always gets to make up the law as it sees fit with the one party corruption in the state. Plus the model itself is not very popular to begin with so you are not going to see gun owners file a lawsuit to overturn MSP's stance on a niche rifle at best.

So in the end it would depend on the FFL willing to defy MSP's wrong interpretation of the law written to risk their license which you won't see many doing.

Unfortunately you can't use the Mini-14 argument there because the words "folding stock" are in the list, unlike with this HK thing.

To answer the OP. CETME's are not banned. Here is the c308 I just picked up from Duffy's.

I was going to shoot it this coming Friday, but it looks like Hap Baker is closed.
