Very nice!
I like SKS's in general but the Albanians with thier spike bayonettes and fine construction always stand out.
Ant idea what kind of wood was used??

In his collection for prob last 20 years.
Although i think he should sell one to a up and coming SKS collector that doesnt have one of them yet :innocent0

I feel a little sad that you don't have a Yugo. I'd happily trade you one of mine for an Albanian, to enhance your collection.

Forgive me but wasn't Albania part of Yugoslavia?

I have a few Yugos but on a trade I need a 1976 and 1978 Albanian and would trade a excellent ++ 1959 Romanian for it

Where are you finding these?

I got three from AIM and two off GunBoards.com

From mid 69 on they used beech.67,68 and early 69's used a darker wood.

No.
Your thinking of Kosovo which is full of Albanians.

Albania has been an independant country aligned with China until the early 90's when the curtain collapsed.
Its one of if not the poorest country in Europe and it shows.

Anyone have a 1967, 1976 or 1978 they want to part with? I have a 1971 on the way i would trade for it or a russian plus cash.
