Just a suggestion, how about a forum that deals with Home Gunsmithing? just simple gunsmithing you can do on you own and at home. Also could included staining stocks, parkerizing or whatever. I'm not looking to take business away from our Professionals but if its something we can do at home.

I think it is a great idea. This would be a great place to talk about things like the Majestic Speed-Strip kit for the Ruger Mark II/III and cahnging springs in the WANAD (or any pistol for that matter).

This is a great idea, actually. If it goes well, be proud (how do you think a lot of gunsmith's got into it? Having an interest and then working in Trial & Error.)

If it goes awry, call your local IP, fix it up and then...still show it off! :)

Worked for me yesterday, I still feel stupid though.

An entire FORUM, or just a thread within a forum?

One good thing would be the lack of some "professionals" constantly telling everyone their guns are junk. That would be refreshing.
