Okay, I have seen advertised in American Rifleman for the last year this device from the www.themakogroup.com. It is a folding stock, carbine size tool that allows a Glock, Sig, or FN Five-seveN to be mounted inside it. Basically you install your handgun inside this contraption and now you have a compact Uzi size semi-automatic toy. Curious if anyone else has looked into it, and I wonder if it is legal. When fitted with a pistol, it looks like it would be considered a short barrel rifle.

This is the product sold on Amazon. It looks so cool and of course the fun factor. Too bad is cost as much as a new Glock.

    I have a KPOS G2 on a G17 gen 3. (Registered SBR, of course.)

First of all: you can't build one legally anymore. It will not meet OAL, as far as I'm aware.

Second, the setup excels for people who want something light and compact that runs on Glock mags. It is less optimal for folks who want pinpoint accuracy, or for suppressor use (it can be picky about which suppressors it likes).

You could do the "Pathfinder" version, but you're making a pistol out of a pistol. That's just a gigantic waste of money. Better off just AOW'ing it.
