I can't get the link to load, but Ruger just rolled out a new version of the Redhawk. This is a really nice looking model that chambers 45lc and .45acp. Sadly, its MSRP IS over $1000. Once again a new, very cool gun that's priced out of the market for a lot of folks.

It's a beautiful gun and I think that .45lc is under valued as a defensive caliber.

    I've got a Blackhawk that'll do that.
    it wasn't $1000 either!

Wow. I would love to have a revolver that shot the same ammo as my 1911! That is a bit steep on price tho.

    I have a S&W 25-2 and a buddy has a S&W 625.
Both shoot .45 ACP and they are awesome guns!
    Love my 25-2.

Wonder how the Ruger would compare?
Does anyone know... Moon clips for the Ruger?

Here is the model I have:

Agreed, and I love the versatility of Ruger's current revolver line. 3 of my last 5 handgun purchases have been Rugers. And I'm about to buy another off of a gentleman in the morning.

    Where they send me.
Harder to make a DA gun shoot/extract different/rimless rounds.

Street price will be much lower than $1k I'm sure.

Good to see Ruger bringing new stuff out! Also, nice to see them doing things which custom makers had been doing to their guns for years (at a higher price).

    Here it is.

That just isn't doing anything for me. The grip just looks so out of proportion to the rest of the gun.

I wish they would use a full underlug like they do on the GP-100.

I'd like to see them make a Redhawk in .357mag with 8-round capacity like some of the newer S&W N-frames. I think there's enough room in the cylinder (?)

    Nice one for sure.
Ruger street prices usually run ~80% of MSRP. At $800 it's still a bit high for me, but I'm sure they'll sell pretty well.

Was not interested in another revolver until I saw this. I am really curious to see what the street price will be. I personally would not pay $1000 for it. But at the right price ... we'll wait and see.

I like how, in the intro of the Ruger video, the guy fires five "shots", but only four actually fire. They dubbed the sound of a shot over the click of the hammer. Pretty funny.
