I am looking for a 22 in an AR. I was looking at the S&W 15-22 then saw the Mossberg 715 tactical 22 (37207 ?). Does anyone stock these?

    thanks

    Smokey's right.

As much as I hate to knock Mossberg, they got goofy with that thing.

    Go with the Smith.

get the s&w...much better gun in every way.

    /thread.

If you need further proof to spend the money, take them apart and set them side by side.

The 715 is a drag-queen in AR clothing, the 15-22 is much closer to being an AR.

I've posted this before when someone was considering the 715t. A picture is worth a thousand words.

yea, that pretty much says it. is the 15-22 lower a regular ar lower? Could a differrent cal upper be mounted on it later?

That's a 15-22 lower. No possible way to mount a different cal upper as they made the specs different.

You think a rifle caliber would break it?

I know a rifle caliber will break the ATI polymer 22 lower. I've witnessed it happen in less than 100 rds. The rear threaded portion of the receiver shattered, the buffer tube/spring/stock dropped to the ground. I can't attest to the durability of the S&W, but I am not interested in giving it a run for the money...
