I've gotten two carmax interviews for service consultant customer advisor and nothing came of it. But if your wife could help I would appreciate it

Go to USA jobs and search apply for Contracting Officer positions. Your academic background matches that position and is constantly in demand. Good luck and do not give up. Sounds like you have done all the right things in life. keep your nose clean, remember emotional intelligence and keeping your work ethics high will get you far in your career. Best.......

Not trying to be a smartass-
You will be applying for a contract specialist position not a contracting officer. KO takes usually about 5+ years to achieve. You will most likely start as a gs-5/7 with no prior experience and a bachelors.

Bad news is the way odumbass screwed with the career intern programs you have to be a veteran to get hired. Same when applying through an open announcement. Most usajobs announcements are closed to all but career conditional and career permanent government employees and on the open ones you have a snowballs chance in hell of making it past folks who have vet status or are on the stopper list. Not trying to tell you not to try...just being realistic.

Are you on LinkedIn? Start making connections and use their job search tools. Like someone mentioned, many times it is who you know.

I'll second that. LinkedIn is good.

Also, professional trade association web pages often post open positions in their field. Check local chapter web pages for this area.
