Gunsnammo.com has a bazillion Finnish M39 rifles listed on their site right now.

One of them has a new home.

    No antiques though.

    Have fun.

I have bought a few rifles from Pat Burns. The M39s where great, my 91/30 not so. She has a really great collection of M39s and the pics usually do a pretty decent job showing the overall condition.

I bought a postwar VKT a few years back, almost no wear but that's what I wanted. Some of the M39s were made by Tikka, those are the really tough ones to find.

MUST RESIST. Gonna order a CMP Garand instead. Also, I'd like to pick up another HBAR from Lou this week.

If anyone who has Mosins and 54r ammo, if you don't have a M39, you may want to get one. Worth the extra money over a 91/30.

And M39 have really sweet two stage Mauser style triggers.

And the sights are the cats ass when it comes to adjustability. Especially the front.

If you're a Mosin fan, the M39 is a must have and they truly are collectable pieces.

I've been dealing with these folks for at least six years and the they are a top shelf organization.

The Finns had been doing the two stage trigger for years on earlier model rifles, but none of them beat how refined the trigger on an M39 is. They are amazing.

    Some stock pics

It's one of their $380.00 guns, so it needs some TLC. I promise not to offend the purists.

Metal is 65% finish that's 1/2 blued and 1/2 bare metal. What to do-What to do???

The filthy stock has some very nice grain underneath the old finish.

    Some Formby's on the buttstock.

Scrubbing off the Formby's with mineral spirits and a heavy duty scrubbing pad.

Now I gotta wait for the spirits to dry overnight.

I picked the $360.00 one, with 20% blue and trenchart. It's got the "look" with nice even honest wear, "been there-done that". I'll work on cleaning this weekend.
