    .30 cal.?

    Can someone explain?

.30 or 7.65 Luger was the first cartridge developed for the Luger pistol. The Swiss adopted it and used it in their Lugers and even chambered some commercial SIG P210's in it. If I remember right, it's more commonly used today in Europe than over here.

The Finnish adopted the 7.65 caliber Lugers also, but also used 9mm versions or converted 7.65 pistols. Samco even had a large amount of Finnish surplus 7.65 Luger for sale when they went under.

It's a bottleneck case. After a few years, someone opened up the bottleneck and produced the 9mm Parabellum cartridge.

Simpsons has had a bunch of Swiss Lugers for a while.

I think they are an interesting piece, but some folks ignore WWII era Swiss guns because of their neutrality during the war.

I haven't got a clue as to whether the .30 cal will add to or detract from the price. Modern 9mm ammo is known by many names and one is "9mm Luger".

It's a lot like Tokarev but not as powerful
You can't use a Tok in it but those of us who reload Tok can reload for the German 30 mauser

I would love one of these. My fathers war bring back was a 7.65 Luger. As mentioned, this was the original caliber for the gun.

Thats 7.63x25 Mauser that's like the Tok, not 7.65x21 (.30) Luger. Two different cartridges.

As for price, if these are import marked (which they probably are) that knocks the value down a bit.
They aren't nearly as valuable/collectible as military lugers.
