Looking for a Backpack to carry an AR carbine. It will be worn while seated so no part of it can extend below the waist. All the ones I'm seeing have the muzzle pointed down. Muzzle up seems better suited I'd think.

    ?
ready to go or taken down? Taken down I would say use a Raptor pack with the muzzle coming through the radio antenna hole. Best backpack I have ever owned, by far.

Avoid "Badlands" back pack. Over priced and not that good. Zippers are sh!t.

Correctly recalling your other posts, you ride a motorcycle right? You can fit a broken down AR-15 with a 16" barrel in a large messenger bag. Rides very well diagonal across your back on a bike, either motor or pedal. http://baileyworks.com/

    This thing looks great!

If you look around you can find it for around $135 shipped. I personally have no experience with it but had been looking for something similar and came across it.

There's also the Altatac MOJO bag. It's similar to the Larue MKII Convert bag but for much less money. What's nice about it is that it comes with removable backpack straps and they have a waist buckle. It would work well for when your riding your bike. I have one, and the Larue bag it's modeled after, and for the money have been very impressed.

I haven't seen it mentioned, yet; Noveske makes one that may fit the bill.

5.11 also makes one that I think is a little nicer.

I have the 5.11 and I'm not impressed. The only thing I was pleased with when I got it was that I didn't pay anywhere near retail for it. It's not worth it. It's just two big pockets with one having a strap and muzzle pocket.

The Altatac MOJO is less than half the cost of the 5.11 and is more than twice as useful.
