I have a 1960s era Noble Shotgun, which is basically an imported Spanish made shotgun with little to no collectors value. It has even less due to the pitting in the barrels :sad20: I'd like to have the barrels cut down to 18.5" but there's pitting in that section. Would a competent gunsmith be able to cut the barrels down even with the pits there? Or would I have to get the barrels cut past the rust, which brings it into SBS territory? Getting past the rusted parts would take the barrels down to about 12".

What are going to use it for? If it's just a "house gun" why does it matter? IMO that's all it could be after you cut the choke out of it.
