If I read the MD statute correctly (a big if), AR-10's are not banned. Assuming that's true, would I be able to purchase one at a PA gun show cash and carry? I am a MD resident.

Most of the people on here have bought unregulated long guns (that is all available long guns now) at out of state shows.

    I know I have

And there are some GREAT ar-10s available right now

No. On sheer technicality if you buy any firearm at a gun show in PA it will have to go through an FFL and submit a 4473.
But it should be a same day purchase so it depends on your definition if cash and carry.

ONLY IF you can find a dealer that will sell directly to a MD resident...

    From my experience, Most won't...

Most dealers will insist on shipping it to your local FFL...

For clarity, he can buy any non-banned long gun as cash and carry (with 4473) from a PA dealer. Assuming the dealer is agreeable, as sarge just said.

Thanks. A couple of years ago I bought a 12ga at a PA show. Had to do the NICS check but was on my way in 30 minutes. Regarding the need to submit a form 4473, is that due to FSA2013? Would the AR-10 purchase be handled differently than a shotgun purchase?

Form 4473 has been required for any dealer sale since 1968.
