Rather go here...just a personal preference for the PA gun shows.

Is Timonium any better than it was 3 yrs ago?

I have not been to Carlisle in years. I have however been disappointed in Timonium (even though it's only 5 minutes from my house)... Maybe Carlisle on Saturday and Timonium on Sunday

Carlisle is not worth the drive. York and Gettysburg are much better.

I'll probably go to the Timonium show. It's only a mile from my house. Looking for a Beretta 21A

    I wouldn't mind getting another 21a. I love mine.

It is a nice drive though. I can stop other places (non-gun {GASP!} ) on the way back. Maybe I'll save the gas though. Thanks for the info.

Looks like I'll be there on Sunday. I'll probably arrive sometime around 10am. I usually stop by Lou's table to talk to him first.

I have not gone to a gun show before. Is it generally worth the time even if you don't buy anything? Are there demonstrations (obviously not shooting) or other things to check out?

It can vary a lot by the show. The running joke is that some shows have more beef jerky than guns. This is not accurate, but some shows have more gun related things and less clothing/surplus gear/beef jerky than others.

The way I see it is it's about the same cost to go to a show as what movie tickets USED to be. To me it's worth it and I'll be hitting up both shows this weekend.

It's worth it. You get to look and touch a lot of guns all in one place. Much better than traveling to 30 different gun shops.

You also get to talk to a lot of people about guns. Good times.
