My daughter is showing interest in shooting (I've had her out at the farm with .22 rifles), so took her to Hap Baker today to break her in on a .22 revolver. Started slow with 1 round at a time, then she graduated up to loading it herself. Baby steps....

    Good job Dad!

Reminds me of the first time I took my daughter to the range. I have created a monster. ( now, I have to buy twice the amount of ammo )

Congratulations, dad. When I serve as duty range officer at my Izaak Walton League range, my shift is doubly worthwhile when a parent brings their son or daughter shooting for the first time. We do all we can to make it a great experience. It makes my day, and it's really fun seeing that some kids take to shooting like ducks take to water.

I find that all first time shooters take to shooting like ducks take to water. I have not had a single person come out to the range and not have a good time. Didn't matter who or what they were, they all loved it.

Nice. Work on that grip too. And the wardrobe too while your at it ;)

Yes. No tea cup. That left hand thumb can cross over behind the hammer. This allows for better recoil management in the future if shooting a higher caliber revolver :)

LOVE LOVE LOVE having the kids at the range.

Congrats! My kids always enjoy the range. They will get a nice surprise next time when they see the new SR22 I got. Upgrading from the rifle to pistol will be fun.

I still go to the range with my dad who is 94. I also still go to the range with my kids who are in thier late 20s. It never gets old. I have an eye on my two year old grandson as he can already make his own Lego guns.

He should be able to shoot a Cricket at the age 3. Ask me how I know?
