    Fed Ord did a ton of them from Blue Sky imported M1's. They where crap then ($289) an still are now. The mini g from Shuffs is nice over priced stuff if you want that stuff.

    As for M1's using M14 magazines. The Ord Dept looked into it an almost did it. When I shot HP in the early 80's a smith in TX did the conversion for under $300. A match grade M1 was under $200 at that time. The DCM gave your (junior) team M1's or M14's plus ammo. I miss those days :(

    I picked up a nice Fulton Armory build in the 90's in 7.62 NATO. It had a nice match grade barrel, and shot very well for what it was. No issues.
    It is a nice thing to have if that is wha you like. Just don't buy junk. Quality has a characteristic of it's own.
