I have an HK clone that for some reason is now shooting all over the place. It was accurate last time I shot it at 50 yrds. Now with or without a scope it has about a 3ft hit radius.

I and another experienced shooter tried with the same results. Nothing seems loose.

Anyone have any ideas or know of someone good with HK MP5 SDs that can look at it?

Is it a Hesse/Vulcan/or whatever the hell he calls himself now clone?

If so, sell it. Sell it now. Pure junk.

Have you taken the suppressor off and cleaned it? Or at least looked inside to see if something is wrong. I've never fondled one in person but seen lots of pics where it unscrews off the barrel under the handguard. Heck I guess you might even be able to shoot a couple rounds w/o the suppressor on but its going to shoot a bit of fire out the sides where all the porting is down near the threads. Treat it like a revolver - don't put your other hand in front of the cylinder;)

This is a separate company. Not a renaming of an old company. I will break the can down tonight if I can and see if there is damage. Ammo was Winchester and Remington 115gr and 124gr ammo.

I guess another thing thats fairly easy to check is the headspacing. You use a feeler gauge and IIRC needs to be something like 10-20thou. Drop bolt to chamber a round, remove mag, then insert feeler gauges between the bolt and the carrier up through the mag well. Heck you can just visually inspect it. Touching is bad as is a big gap. I have a hard time imagining the barrel pin would fall out and let that move but maybe something broke in the bolt. But then you'd think it would have ejection problems due to the bolt moving too fast/slow.

FFBWMD has a good point about taking it to SCSG. I've talked to their machinist guy there for quite a while once and he seems to know his HK stuff. Plus its pretty close to you.

OK well I broke the suppressor down today. Finally. I did not see any baffle strike damage but a LOT of carbon build up.

I am going to try to contact S&H Arms, who made the suppressor, and see if they can answer a couple of quick questions for me.

    Wish me luck.
