    I have a couple of guns that have never been fired. I guess I need to take a trip to the range to make sure they work properly. Thanks for posting!

    :shocking: Stuck firing pin would cause it to discharge regardless of the safety position. But seeing as the hammer was still cocked, that could be. Scary stuff.

    One of my instructors said a safety is a mechanical device destined to fail. I was qualifying someone last year and his service issued pistol did the same thing. He got a new one for it.
