    NRA Targets will list what style firearms and distances they are designed for.

    Outside of that, if a hole can be put through it it's a pistol target.

    Do a google search. You will find there are a ton of targets posted in pdf form. Print out as many as you need, as you need them.

    [Note: doing this at work will save you a lot of ink. LOL]

    What kind of training? 99% of the time I shoot on private property, and we usually start the day with a mag or two on a paper plate to warm up and confirm no one is having problems with basic, slow fire marksmanship at 7 yards.

    Depending on how many people are there, what the mood is, and time constraints will dictate on everything from drilling targets to silhouettes.

    The OP will have picked up the two themes :

    If you. Are speaking of an Offical Target for a specific competition , National Target is the source.

    LE Type Qualifications are overwhelmingly done with either B27 or Q. .

    For fun , informal practice , and skill building , anything with a visable aiming point of relevent size.
