are we supposed to believe the lawmakers were so farsighted that they wrote a gun that didn't exist yet into the law of regulated rifles? GTFOOH

    6) If this is a rifle, what is the overall length of the weapon? If the stock is fully extended and there are no removable additions to the barrel, is the weapon longer than 29 inches? If so, then it is banned and may not be purchased, sold, or transferred.

    major typo right there

Did anyone else catch the egregious typo? Edit: Yep :)

I actually had the opposite reaction. I find it organized poorly, and it is clearly erroneous on many of the firearms.

Exactly Tavor Banned (copycat)?? H&K MR556A1 (gas gun) not a copy of Colt AR15....

Plus they banned Sig M400, M&P15 all with no reference to barrel type.. What does that mean?

    Under AR 15 it reads, Weapon Selected: Colt AR-15, CAR-15, and all imitations except colt AR-15 Sporter H-BAR rifle;
    Status: Banned

Does that mean everything else with a Hbar is banned?

That list of arms is a complete cluster f*ck. This has only added confusion, but they've created a nice list of rifles to ban in the next legislative session.

they are being vague. on purpose.

also looks like they are holding to the bs that all bushmaster brand semi auto rifles are banned, not just the 40 year old and rare "bushmaster semi auto rifle" model.

no coincidence that the kolbe hearing is in just a few days. im sure this webpage gets mentioned somewhere in the decision.

On the plus they have officially listed Saiga shotguns as legal. Also I saw no reference to the SIG 556.

The ACR thing is frustrating though.

the list for the next ban starts under

    "request for firearm review form".

which sounds an awful lot like what the handgun roster board does, except the roster board is part of the law, and long gun review is just something they made up out of thin air and isnt in the statute or regulations. shouldn't there be a aler hearing for new forms?

i would imagine any regulation using a form in md needs an official appeals process too.

And this is surprising? MSP has been doing nonsense like this for a very long time. And on number 6, you'd think they would have a liberal arts major QC anything they publish.

I find it curious that they took the time to list some very rare firearms and the saiga SHOTGUN, but not a saiga RIFLE.

They say that a shotgun with a folding stock is banned.
They say that a semi auto shotgun with a revolving cylinder is banned.

Aren't non semi shotguns with folding stocks ok?
