Have there been any recent changes to the People's Republic restrictions on ARs? Went to a gun bingo tonight in Manchester, didn't win, and the door prize was to be a S&W AR15. Prior to the start an announcement was made that the guns were provided by Reddings in Gettysburg and due to the recent changes, this week as described by them, to Maryland's law they could no longer award the gun to a Maryland res but if you were from Pa you would be all right. I searched the forum, googled recent changes but could not find anything. Didn't get a chance to see the firearm but just curious if there has been a change or why would the dealer bring something that is banned right from the start.

HBAR, barrel length, and mag limitations are nothing new to this bleeding heart libtard state.

No changes to the law this week. Don't know what they meant. Still has to be an Hbar.

No changes. Except for a few specific model numbers (either HBAR or multi-state compliant), S&W AR-15s are still banned here.

Primarily because S&W does not advertise any AR as a heavy barrel. If they would call it a heavy barrel MSP would accept it. :sad20:

Sure, it's recent if one considers the enactment of the "Firearms Safety Act" on 10/01/2013 as recent ;)

If this is a long time running event, then it's just what they say at every event maybe.

Well it is bingo. Those types of crowds, telephones that aren't attached to a wall with a wire is recent.

Pretty crappy of them if they don't provide a substitute prize that is MD compliant in the case of a MD winner.

Especially crappy since the bingo event happened in MD. The event coordinator and maybe Reddings seriously screwed up.

Yup - they should know better and get a nice M4 style HBAR as the prize.

Thanks for all the replies...it was Manchester, Maryland and it sounds like it was an "oh sh*t" moment to me.

Enjoy the site, don't post much but use it as a great resource!

If the event was in MD, I hope they didn't bring the door prize with them to the event.
