Mostly onl trap guns are set up to float the clay.

Sporting clays has too many varied presentations for it to work well.

I have a lanber 2097 sporting lux. Great fun. Except one of the ejectors ejected out of the gun. Had it fixed by a smith and it happened again. So now I have to manually remove the shell. From the top barrel. I'm open to selling it if you are interested. Has 2500 rds or so through it. Otherwise in great shape.

Here's a good one (sorry, you may have to join to view): Winchester 101

F/M barrels probably have enough meat for aftermarket choke tubes. Alternately open the F barrel to IC.

I'd go used to meet budget. When my dad bought my red label it was under $1k, but now I think it is actually worth more than he paid. Used Beretta or Browning can't wrong there either.

A friend of mine is interested in selling his Beretta s686. I have found a bunch of prices on Gunbroker but don't know what to believe. Any advice?

I'm not sure. I would estimate 80% condition. A few scratches on the stock. It has no decorations. The receiver is brushed nickle appearance.

I am thinking about looking around for a quality O/U - probably used and sub $1,500.

I haven't been able to find much in the way of comparison charts rating/comparing the brands and individual models.

    IE:
    Beretta silver pigeon
    Browning Citori xyz
    Beretta model xyz
    Browning other model xyz
    ETC

The reason i'm interested is so if I see a particular quality gun for sale used, I might have a chance at discerning the quality of the deal and/or how much room I may have to negotiate.

    Thank you for the help!

Back in the 70s had a nice Ithaca I used to hunt pheasant with in Penslyvannia. Sweet gun. Went into the Army in 74 and when I came home after AIT at Ft Gordon Ga MP school found out my loving father traded it for another rifle. Boy was I pissed!!! Can't even find that combo anymore. Anybody seen one around?

Cynergy is a decent gun, great "all around" gun for clay sports. There's a few guys here that have them that I've shot with.
