    New AR Del-ton NATO 5.56 barrel. A3 Flat top w 2.5X10 X40 scope
carries a red dot laser and re/green reticle. measures 2 1/2 inches
from barrel center to scope center.

I've loaded a few military brass once fired, mostly LC and WMA brass.
Use of WSR primer, BLC(2) at 26 grains toped off with 62 gr FMJ
also a few 55 gr FMJ bullets for sight in at 25 yards.
Do not have a picture, camera battery died. :sad20:

I shot a 25 rounds at 25 yards with good bullet grouping.
Shoots about 1+ inches above point of aim at 25 yards.
Is My understanding correct that 50 yard zero --point of impact should be about 1 1/2 inches below POA at 25 yds?

Question is too, How many clicks to I move down?? Scope is 1/4 100 yds.

    chart is use is attached.

    4 clicks = 1"@100yds.

    8 clicks = 1"@50yds.

Not sure what you're looking for but hope this ratio helps

 yep. I want to zero my scope at 50 yds. Shooting now 1+ at 25.

So to shoot 1+ low at 25 I need the point of aim the same but bullet
    about 2 to 2 1/2 inches lower at 25.
Sounds like I need to adjust the scope about 16 clicks 'down'.
Thanks this does comfirm what I thought. Getin old so

Are you limited to a 25 yard range?

The nice thing about 5.56 is that a 50 yard zero is close to a 200 yard zero for the popular bullet weights.

Just curious, is your barrel 20" ? What twist?

IMHO, 33m/36yd USMC zero is where it's at for a 5.56x45 rifle with no magnified optics. Not too hard to see where your bullets are impacting, too, which starts getting marginal at 50m.

Unfortunately, my usual ranges only allow 25yd or 50yd, so I wind up using 25yds and putting my bullets in a spot where they "should" be zeroed at 33m. :P
