Did MSP contact all of your references

Sorry to start a new thread but for those with a MD permit, did the MSP contact ALL of your references?

They only contacted 2.

I had listed

A 25 year long friend. Contacted

A 15 year friend/local politician Not contacted

A 5 year friend local business owner Contacted

A 10 year friend Local business owner Not Contacted.

Just curious what this may mean or not mean

I don't have a permit, I was denied, but they contacted 2 of 3 of my references.
Contacted my wife also.

I was denied a couple years ago. Yes, contaced all 3 refrences, my supervisor
and my wife.

None contacted ever. First permit issued in 1995.

All three I listed. I never told any of them. I received three phone calls in one afternoon from each. One of my contacts called me to make sure I had asked the MSP to call him before he'd answer any questions, smart guy.. Called my wife as well.

Interesting that you are allowed to use a family member as a reference. Verboten in Delaware. They have to be acquaintances other than family.

Spouse isn't put down as a reference, just as spouse with contact info.

He didn't say that I don't think. Just the wife.

They're notorious to being dicks about wives, asking them to leave the room if you are there, asking about abuse, where you keep your guns, how they "feel" about you possibly carrying a gun, etc.

OK...Spouse isn't even on the Delaware form. I guess that's why I was confused.

Is it possible that the politician and other business friend each have a CCW permit themselves?

Considering they are never even sure if an applicant holds a professional license within the state of MD, don't know who owns what real estate or business(es) and who is or isn't a lawyer.......

There's not much concern about the investigational ability or tactics of the MSP LD.

The day of my interview all my references were called and the interviewer told me that she had left a message for my wife to call her.
