    Residential A/C repair needed

We have a heat pump setup in our townhouse that is not cooling at all. The outside unit fires up just fine and the thermostat cycles but nothing is happening. I'm not sure if it is a freon issue or maybe a stuck reversing valve? Not exactly my area of expertise...

I need inspection and possible repair done Saturday morning if possible. If you need any model specifics or more information PM me.

Cash is still good in this state, right?

Come on guys... I'm trying to give money/ammo to a member here but I have a miserable pregnant wife at home. If I don't hear something tonight I have to call a local company.

Im going to bump this, I believe my refrigerant is low and needs filled asap. Let me know tonight if you can and the cost to come out. We have two zones the upper zone system is the one that needs refrigerant. I want the lower one checked while you are here.
I pay in money not ammo :)

    Located in myersville.

Did you check your capacitor outside and also your fuse inside the blower in the house?
Fuses and capacitors are usually the culprits.
Mine went out over the weekend, but I was able to diagnose that it was the capacitor and fan motor. Took it to Roberts Electric Motors on 355 across from Mariachi restaurant. They checked it out and confirmed. Great folks there! Described everything.

Switched it out and works great. Quieter and cooler too.

    Thanks for the endorsement.

jpo183 I sent you some PMs. Sorry we don't service the Myersville area.
I recommend Frederick Air. Steve Schmidt is a friend of mine and a good guy.

I'm a big fan of cash as are my vendors and employees. If I can help you, I'd be happy to but unfortunately we do not schedule regular service appointments on the weekends, we only run emergency calls.

Good luck. Obviously all the A/C guys got slammed this week. It takes a few days for things to simmer down a bit. At least it looks like the weather should be letting up a bit.
