One of my local FFLs let me know that my new Uberti revolvers came in, but were damaged in transit  I've been waiting for over a month to get my grubby little hands on them, and was about sick to my stomach when I read that email. Five hours later, I got to the store and opened the box. The screw holding the ejector housing had backed itself out and the ejector assembly was just sitting in the bag. Whew! I borrowed a screwdriver and put her back together. So my pair of Uberti Cattleman Bisleys is fine, and I'm taking them out Friday for a shakedown run. I must admit, the cylinders spin freely, and the triggers are sweet as they are. I'll post pics later.

    Very nice!

On the BP cartridges, will you be loading your own? It's a skill I'd like to learn.

Yes, I will be loading my own BP cartridges. I've been reloading for a while now, just dabbling in BP in .45 Colt. According to several folks on the Wire and CAS City, bottlenecks like the 44-40 and 32-20 provide a better seal and less blowback with BP versus straight wall cartridges. I'm testing smokeless loads this evening, and testing my 87 shotgun since I'm shooting at the Pepper Mill Creek Gang's match on Sunday.
