I also have a meager stockpile, for now but am trying to add weekly.

    100- .45ACP
    50 - .45LC
    200- .22LR
    200- 9mm
    60- 12 GA.
    60 - 7.62x54R
50- .25ACP (A little nickel plated semi auto, got it a long time ago with a buddy for the fun of it)

So i'm a little farther ahead than the guy with only 50 rounds of .22lr!!!

i reload my own so i can have different ammo for different targets.
bulk fmj is my most common and it is also the cheapest.
    i have 80 grain HPBT FOR 300 + YARDS
45 grain spitzer for varmit explosions LOL
it is relativly inexpensive to load your own ammo and you can custom load your own loads for personal use.
i personally like hollow points over fmj for stock as it will do alot more dammage.

I try to keep 500 of any handgun ammo I have at all times and 1k of rifle ammo. When I get below those numbers I buy another case.

I read a post a while ago that made sense about buying twice as much as ammo as you shoot. Combining that idea with case quantity discount has helped me start building a decent amount. Or a completely rediculous amount if you ask the wife!

I know what you mean. I bought 20k rounds of 5.56 and never heard the end of it. I ended up selling 10 cases and hiding some to get her off my back.

Lmfao. I need to plan ahead and find a super secret hiding place and then it will not be an issue. She hasn't said much about ammo, just pissy when I bring home a new lead spitter.

It is hard to find hiding spots... I had a cabnet in my shed full of green tips in 20 round boxs like 2000 rounds fell out on the gf looking for a drill:innocent0

Does anyone keep ammo for calibers of guns they dont have?

I couldnt think of a good reason to do that. Plus with so many calibers where would you start.

Instead I've bought atleast one firearm to fire each popular round besides .45. My end goal is to have atleast two firearms per popular caliber.
