Following AKBytheBay's thread, since it was a little more on the practical side in my opinion, bar none what is your absolute favorite pistol? I mean the one by which all others are judged and all that...

You can be as specific as you need.

    For me: 1911.

The 1911 is the most perfect balance of all things a handgun needs to be. Holding one feels as if the gun was made for me personally. It is the epitome of all things American and all things good. Yes, I really like the 1911.

It will last a life time, you don't need magazines and it can take down anything.

I like my USP40 but my P225 is rising up the ranks. This all may change when I pick up my P220 on Tuesday!

Depends on what work I'm doing or my mood but if the caliber starts with a 4 and end with a 5 then I'm happier than a pig in poo but won't turn my nose up on a 9MM or .357

SA - Ruger Vaquero 7.5" Convertible
    DA - S&W 25-7 or 625 MG. GP-100 3" runs a close 3rd.
1911A1 - Colt 80 Series LW Commander(I've got other Standards that shoot better bit there is something about the LWC)
Auto - P90 and BHP("Subcaliber training device" :D everyone knows if you love 1911s then you need a BHP too)
