Planning an AK build party on September 13.

So participate in the poll, start gathering parts, posting what you plan to bring to the event (tools, jigs, and/or food) and hopefully Stevearado can come through with his awesome organizational skills and create a spread sheet for the event!

I could be up for any of the days. I SHOULD have my 74 done by then (need to put the topend of my press back together to squash the last few rivets) but maybe Classic will have shipped my AK64D kits by then:sad20:. I better not forget my parts this time so Im not demilling everyone elses kits:D

I'm hoping y'all won't point and snicker if I bring my 74 parts kit and a 223 barrel. Just finished turning the barrel journals down to fit my kit - the reasoning being that if this doesn't work out, I can revert to standard 74 trim by replacing the barrel.

The trunion barely starts, and measurements indicate that I'm +.003 on the press-fit. I feel good about that one. I over did it on the rear sight journal by about 2 thou, but if i had to screw something up, that's the one with the least stress applied.

    anybody know anything about these?

it's a polymer folding stock. needs the aks-74 or aks-74u trunnion, hinge pin, and forward locking mechanism.

in other words, if you don't have all the hardware, you need this:

you'll also need to drill the front trunnion for the pin that retains the locking mechanism.

inshallah my f1 is approved by the build party, i can bring the bulgarian krink and show you what i mean.

I am not 100% certain which stock you are referring too. Is it the polymer folding stock? If so, then no I don't have that one.
