IMHO, you'd be better off with the AR-1X.

i have the XTS135 and I really don't have any complaints about it. It isn't an AimPoint but I could never justify the cost difference between the two. I like mine, I even bought the AR-Tripler, which will also work with EoTech and Vortex.
Speaking of Vortex, for the money, you might want to consider the SPARC II as an Aimpoint Micro alternative.
I have both the Burris and the Vortex and I'm happy with them. I doubt I'd take either one to the deserts of Iraq or the jungles of Vietnam, but i really don't see that as one of my criteria.
