I think I learned the antis' plans. They try to get laws passed during peaks of crime waves knowing that other law enforcement tactics used will reduce the violence and crime without it so they can later come back and claim it was the gun control law they passed which saved lives.

If we fight their attempts to pass such a ban for another year or so, they will lose this argument damn hard because the crime wave would have subsided without their silly ban.

You hit the nail on the head. Another thing to consider is the economy and the fact that desparate people do desparate things. If crime rates go back up in DC for instance they can blame it on the Heller decision.

Trickery is the name of the game.

At least we will still have England (and Scotland and Wales). If they try that old hand we just point out that after the handgun ban there in I think 1996 their violent crime and gun crime went higher every year until it peaked sometime about six to nine years later and I believe is still higher than before the gun control law.

By the way, I think violent crime has been going down in DC last time I paid attention a few months ago. Pretty funny because I bet it is frustrating the hell out of the antis who wished crime went up so they could jump on it like you pointed out they would.
