FFL in Waldorf area

Trying to help out a buddy with a firearms purchase. Anyone know a good ffl in the Waldorf area that can handle a transfer for him? Prices? Number? Thanks.

Not exactly Waldorf, but not too far.

Freds Sports in the 'Dorf will do transfers. But considering they are the most expensive dealer on the planet, don't go in looking for a cheap transfer.

After looking at this post for transfer prices, I can see why Fred's is the most expensive. I paid $75 for the transfer as well as $10 for the paperwork up to MSP. This was for an XD 45 that my Dad had gotten for me as a birthday present.

Unfortunately, there really is no one close to us. I think Al in La Plata has moved. That leaves me with Nick Cromwell. He is a good guy, and not too expensive. 40 + 10 MDSP + lock (if required) Sales tax. I just wish he was a little closer to me.

Fred's transfers are / were $20.00 about a year ago.

It depends on what kind of firearm you're buying, I have bought several guns from Fred's because they were always the cheapest and had what I was specifically looking for.

I have called Tackle Box and Southern Maryland Arms in the past and they never have what you want, and they always want to sell me something I don't want, and they both quoted me the MSRP price on several guns. Fred's has always been $75 to $125.00 under the MSRP. I guess it depends on how often you price different guns. I don't even bother calling St. Mary's County dealers anymore, I guess they have a higher markup due to lower sales?????

Brian over at Keep shooting is very good. He is located off industrial park circle. Look for his info in the dealer section.

I was just going to mention this. I know Brian sells firearms, but didn't know if he'd transfer them. I'm planning on checking his warehouse out for goodies tomorrow, so I'll ask him then.

His email is brian.platt@btparms.com. You can zip him an email and see if he can answer you any earlier.

Accurate Guns And Ammo

He has just lowered his transfer prices again. They are incorrect in the link. He also offers a MDShooters discount. The store hours now include Saturday.

Regulated transfers were $50, don't know if he lowered his prices.

I've had other priorities that last month or so.

I don't mind $50 out the door, but of course I wouldn't mind it being cheaper
