Prettyboy

was wondering if the outlined sections of prettyboy are any decent for holding deer. I like the small section as looking at it, it backs to farms and a stream, i hunted the large section the other night and didnt see, spook anything, are there deer on that large piece.....JD

I know there are a lot of deer out there in prettyboy resevoir. I haven't been up there in a few years. Just up the road from the resevoir itself is where we use to park and there was a big patch of pines that overlooked a real steep hill. Use to always see them down in that valley. I know people use to always hunt up there in the pines. We use to also walk a couple miles back in there to.

The area you have outlined is usually loaded with hunters. The deer are often there during the early season but seem to spread out when hunters start showing up. A better, less popular spot, is on the south west side around Spooks hill Rd. You will find this south of the boat ramp. There is some bordering farmland down that way just past Rayville RD...Good Luck!
