Quantico 10th Modified F-Class match November 8th

Next Modified F-Class match is Sunday, November 8th.

New shooters are welcome and encouraged.

As opposed to the excellent NRA competitive program, coaching is allowed at this "Modified" F-Class match. Coaching other shooters is a violation of NRA rules that are designed to provide equal conditions for competitors, which is perfect for experienced shooters trying to get their NRA Rating, but not always so helpful for new folks who could use some pointers and sometimes help getting on paper.

There are no caliber or rifle style restrictions, which will allow shooters to use rifles they already have versus having to have anything molded to the NRA rules. (Those wanting to shoot .50 BMGs, they are legal for the match, but check in to see if we are cleared for the air space restrictions for any particular date.)

These facts make this is a great match to learn on and there are many experienced shooters on hand that will answer your questions and provide help.

Sign in is at 0830.

The fee is $35, which is a bargain because it includes paid pullers. I like having paid pullers due to the very small amount of wasted time and I find that the slight increase in fee is well worth the time and energy saved.

Weather - Too early to tell, but you can check here: http://forecast.weather.gov/MapClick...d2=-77.294&e=1

Current radar: http://images.intellicast.com/WxImag..._None_anim.gif

As a rule, we will shoot rain or shine until we cannot see the targets or until lightning threatens.

It is good to have a rough headcount so we can figure out how many pullers are needed, so please post here if you plan to come down to shoot.

I've posted a basic equipment list below. The well equipped F-Class shooter will have everything on the list, but having everything is not critical to being able to participate. I've asterisked the most important stuff to bring or borrow.

Equipment list:
*Eyes
*Ears*Rifle
*Ammo
Data book/DOPE/pencilS
*Bipod
*Rear bag
Weather monitor/thermometer
*Mat/poncho/tarp
**Raingear/tactical umbrella
*Hydration
Snacks
Spotting scope/tripod (for scoring time)
Folding chair (for scoring time)
*Pack or some way to carry all this crap

Hope everyone can make it out!!

Added you herr.baer.

glock_forty5 & soup101, sorry you guys can't make this one.

AFAIK, next modified F-class match will be December 6th. A January match would fall on the 3rd.

Seems pretty clear to me.
