Yes. Quite possible. Two separate sovereigns. You need to know the law of both. 18 usc 922(q) does not purport to "occupy the field" or otherwise preempt states from enacting their own separate requirements. Compare that to 18 usc 926A, which does expressly address state laws.

Not Esq, but a good example would be medical marijuana laws. It's illegal federally, but in some states you can legally have it with a card or whatever.

And the irony in that is that a federal agent can still arrest you for a violation of federal law, even if it is completely legal under state law. It is a matter of enforcement discretion.

Someone said "land of the free' yesterday and I laughed in her face.

Where you can be spied on at any moment, you can't defend yourself, your taxes go god-knows where, and you can't decide what to put in your own body.

Everyone should have their very own gun-free zone.
Thousands of lives could be saved every year!

90% of polls are biased and agenda-driven, easily manipulated based on who's involved and how the questions are worded. Makes for great propaganda.

Makes no sense at all, criminals will know that there is no resistance at all with no guns around to stop them, like sitting ducks

The problem with gun free zones is that guns, which you seem to think can kill by themselves, can't read the signs. Contrary wise the people who actually do the killing are not that bright. What you need are "please don't shot the children" signs. That might work. I mean at least it let's the gun of the hook. Maybe both signs, or teach the guns to read. .no, no I take this issue very seriously its you I make fun of.
