disassembly and reassembly, worth it?

So, looking at the palmetto state site they have a nice 6.8SPC upper that I want to pirate the parts from to use in my head down setup. Is there any issues with pulling the barrel and bolt and using in another build and then I will just use the upper in another build
Is it just better to put the build together from individual parts? just lookin for some input from the gurus

As far as I know as long as you keep the Barrel and bolt together your good to go.
