I may be moving back to NJ in a couple of months. Therefore, I'd like to sell the air (pellet) pistols I purchased while in MD. Is it legal, in MD, to sell air guns at a Garage Sale?

Yes, air guns are unregulated here in MD. For your own liability control, I would strongly suggest not selling to anyone under the age of 18 unless their parent is present.

What do you have for sale? I've been looking for an excuse to buy an air rifle. Are they really not allowed in NJ?

Nope you have to give them to me free of charge for proper disposal.... :innocent0

Try to get enough posts here together and then use the classifieds, you may recuperate more money that way.

    Are you serious?

    Yes, I'm serious.

Since air guns are considered a firearm, I had to get pistol & rifle purchase permits to buy air guns. This involved a background investigation by the state police which took about 3 months. When I got the purchase permits, I found that they were only good for the purchase of a pistol from a NJ firearms dealer.

Firearm registration is voluntary. This is strange.

just go into the store dressed in a suit and tell them you're an ATF agent and you're confiscating all their airsoft guns because they can be converted into real guns.

I had to fill out paperwork and wait for approval on a BLANK STARTER PISTOL in Maryland, back in the early 80's. Never had to fill out anything to buy a BB / Airsoft Pistol.
