I have an 1891 argentine mauser that i'm looking to replace the stock on. The stock on this had been cut and hacked on before my purchase. Anyone know where to find one??? Thanks

Good luck, I've been looking for them for years.

If you find an affordable source, I would be interested also.

I just picked one of these up. The stock had been hacked off just about 3" past the first barrel band fortunately who ever did it moved the front band back and re attached it. I remade the missing part of the stock and am going to hide the joint under the first barrel band and mill out a place between the 2 for a tenon to be acraglased in to reinforce the repair. I'll put up a picture tonight. I used red mahogany stain its not a 100% match to the original finish but it looks pretty good the barrel band at the connection helps hid the fact the grain pattern changes there. ( i'm waiting for the acraglas to be delivered)
