I was wondering if anyone knows if any postings coming up for teaching postitions. My wife is certified for special ed and elementary ed. It has been pretty dry in delaware on the teaching jobs so she has been substitute teaching.

Things are going to be tight this year, especially in the smaller systems.

The good news is that she's certified in two high demand areas.

She should get her file started now.

My wife is a teacher in Cecil County and if I can give you any advice is have her get her resume in as soon as possible. I don't know of any positions coming up but I can tell you that having her resume in is a huge benifit. That's how my wife got her job, she had her resume in and they called her befor she had even finished colleage. Cecil County has some pretty big turn over so they tend to scramble late in the summers.

getting close to that time of the year. Thought I would put out more feelers for the wife. I think with Us being in New Castle Delaware that Cecil is probably the only district in Daryland that would really be practical to commute to. I also think Cecil is coming to a job fair my wife is going to. As always appreciate any help.

The school systems are in limbo because the effing general assembly failed at their one main responsibility, which is to pass a budget.

The school systems need that budget in order to know how much money they have to spend.

The larger the county, the better your options. The fact is that the Eastern shore systems are simply not going to have as may positions as you're going to see in the larger suburban systems.

In my last position, we had a guy that drove from DE to Greenbelt everyday. :shocking:

    Any luck?

My wife is a mentor teacher in Harford County.

I can talk to her and see if they still have openings.

PM me if your wife is still looking.
