    Decisions, decisions, M1 or SMLE? I guess it being a Battle of the Bulge deal it should be the M1.

    Just remember, it'll most likely be COLD (hence Battle of the Bulge), minimal lube, and you may want to strip your bolt and clean out the firing pin channel.
    We had 2 guys with "brand new" Mausers last year, the cosmolene in their bolts froze, and they had to drop out.....
