Hey guys, I'm sorry if I posted this in the wrong section but I coudn't find an area for law discussion:o

I'm from NJ (one of the VERY few places worse to live as a firearms enthuiest then MD)

I'm heading down to Ocean City this weekend for the carshow. I know traveling with handguns in MD (like NJ) is strictly regulated and prohibited but I'm curious about long guns...

Basically what I would like to do is throw my loaded, uncased, converted Saiga (.223 with 15 round mags) Behind the backseat in my truck and forget about it. I'm getting conflicting info as to the legality of that :( and I'm hoping perhaps you fine gentlemen can clear that up for me.

Also, trying to find out that same info for DE (as I'll be driving through there on the way) I do have a UT ccw permit that is valid there but I believe at least with handguns that they must be openly visible while in the vehicle. No clue on long guns:o (just to clarify, I have no intention of bringing any handguns)

I appreciate any info you can give me, and I'm sorry if this was covered before (I'm sure it has) but I couldn't find anything with the search feature:o

A sincere thanks from your fellow oppressed gun owner
:innocent0

Guys,

Soon to be new AR owner. I love my Lula for 9mm, which I just lost. Grrr. I need to buy a Lula for AR magazines too. I'm leaning towards the Strip Lula based on the videos I saw even though the PMC ammo I bought does not come in stripper clips (Does any .223/5.56 ammo come in stripper clips? PMC is first .223 ammo I ever bought in bulk.) because I like the idea of loading 10 at a time and then pushing down on Strip Lula instead of one at a time with Lula (I think I'd lose count).

Does anyone own the Lula or Strip Lula, and which do you prefer and why, if you care to share.

Thank you.

Jim

P.S. Thank you for everyone's responses to my AR magazine thread. I'm still searching, but will update when I buy some.

In my recent interview the trooper tried to tell me that it could take up to 2 months or more from now (for me that was 54 days into the app process) to complete the process.

RESPECTFULLY I reminded the trooper that the legal document I signed stated within 90 days. Not 90 business days not 115 or 130 days, 90 days!

The trooper will show you that, hey I only just got your app 2 weeks ago, but the date stamped on the app says it was submitted 2 months ago, so not your problem.

At the end of my interview he said that I will have a decision within the agreed 90 days, a 180 degree change in attitude from earlier in the interview process.

Remember even though you signed the legal document saying 90 days, the actual application isn't considered complete until you sign a form at the end of the interview process. Anything you say durning that interview is considered an addendum to the original application.

So when the trooper says it could take 2 or more months from now and you begrudgingly nod your head in agreeance you are giving your permission to take longer.

Know when your app was received and do the quick math.
