Regulated Firearms - License Issue By Delaware, Pennsylvania, Virginia or West Virginia – Reciprocity

Right now in Maryland, there is a House Bill that would allow reciprocity for VA, DE, WV and PA CCW holders to carry in MD. This bill is sitting in committee and needs support for it to be voted on. Please call Chairman Vallario at 410-841-3488 and email him at joseph.vallario@house.state.md.us
encouraging him to allow a vote for this bill. If it doesn't get enough support, it will die in committee. We are working to help residents from other states exercise their rights within Maryland but urgently need your support. Phone calls and emails from residents of Pennsylvania may help this bill get a vote so that we can finally have a reasonable CCW policy in Maryland.

For more information on this and other bills in Maryland please click here (http://www.mdshooters.com/showthread.php?t=76553).

Thank you Pennsylvania for your support of this bill.

Chairman Vallario,

First I would like to say, as a Maryland native I moved to Pennsylvania to remove myself from the feeling that all firearms/owners are terrible people. In moving to PA I applied for my LTCF (License to carry firearms or CCW in Md), and was approved in a month. Why so early? Because it is clear in the 25 years that I have been alive I have had no run ins with the law, not even a ticket. So after getting married and deciding to buy our house on a VA loan I looked to a place where I could protect my family and property without worrying about being arrested. Please consider this bill as my whole family (besides my wife and I) still live in Md. I feel that I need to have the option to protect them from violence if the opportunity ever arises. In a state with many high crime areas I would never feel safe raising a family in Md without being able to protect myself. There are still rules with LTCF or CCW's the myth that it will turn into the wild west is just that, a myth. I know a large amount of people who carry everyday and have not drawn their weapon once. Please give the law abiding citizens the chance that we need to protect ourselves. It was crazy how many people I met when I went into a local gun shop originally from Maryland, that fled to a State that lets them exercise their Constitutional rights. Please don't keep letting criminals have the upper hand, and pass HB-256.

Sincerely,
