... after almost getting me killed.
A few days ago, I sent randy an email about a couple of HD shotguns that I'm considering.
Yesterday, Theresa and I are at the range, waiting for a lane to open up. Randy sees me standing there and says, "Hey, I got your emails and..."
At this point, I get this look on my face like, "Oh God, NO! Not now!!!", as Theresa is standing right beside me (and well armed). I do every thing but jump up and down, waiving my arms, and yelling SHUT UP, SHUT UP, SHUT UP!
It took him a second, but then he looks at Theresa and back at me, and it "clicked". He immediately changed gears and started talking about ammo.
And he tells me that he's still doing the research (wink, wink) and will get back to me in a couple days with "the information I asked for".
That was a close one! I hadn't "primed" her for "the conversation" yet. And, to be honest, this was going to be one of those "sneak it into the house and tell her later" guns. (It's easier to apologize later than it is to ask permission first.)
That you Randy! Great save!

I'm so glad my wife can't tell the difference between guns. Any of them. I bought a RIA 1911 a while back, and as far as she knows, the Steyr S-40 I brought back from Engage is the same gun.
Another example: I had my Mosin Nagant on my work bench (getting it cleaned up) for a few weeks, and it was suddenly replaced with a new FAL. Wife sees it. No response. Ask if she notices anything different about the gun. "Ummmm… you took the wood off?" Sure honey. I took the wood off. :lol2:
For the record, she never has, nor ever will be blonde.

I also have been there myself, For over twenty years my ex would stop in my friends gun store and there was a deal made years ago that nothing she bought costs her more than 250 dollars. And a week later the rest would just show up on my credit card.
It was kinna like a prearranged marriage and she never found out. lol

Guess I'm lucky, my wife loves guns. She has never had a problem with me spending my hard earned money on guns or anything else.

JFTR, She likes guns. Has one of her own! (SR9)
But she doesn't totally get the need for "MORE", yet.
She doesn't think I NEED a 9mm (for CC), a 12 Ga pump shotgun (for HD... and because they're cool), a (second) AR15 (set up for distance shooting), a .22 handgun (for cheap target practice), a .......... . Well, you get the picture.

We don't know the OP's financial situation or if they are saving for a major purchase that buying another gun may take needed funds from.
BTW, the OP's wife has asked for a major purchase.

The gun/carpeting conversation took place on the way home from the range.
Funny how that worked out, hunh?
She's been talking about carpet (just the LR and hall) for about a year. She threw the "no more guns until carpet" thing out there last night. And I called her bluff!
Marriage is a little bit poker and a little bit chess game!

Wife knows about mine, and she's cool with it. I indulge her classroom and jewelry wishes. Plus, she has her own guns (and is drooling over one of mine so I'll be replacing that!!).
Truth be told, I seriously doubt that--even though she knows about them all--she could tell you how many or what more than 3 or 4 even look like.

Yet, she was still in attendance at the last MSI meeting.:thumbsup:
