Here's my normal EDC when I'm not at work.
Largest knife is the awesome Cold Steel Voyager X2, then a Buck Vantage, Sabre tear gas/pepper spray, Fenix LD10 flashlight, Fisher pen, Gerber Shortcut and Winchester multitools, cheap cell phone, chain wallet I've used for about 18 years, and a "paraflail" paracord keychain I got from Mercop. At work I carry everything but the two large knives and the spray since they're not allowed and there's armed guards right outside my office.

drum key looks pretty nasty. i'm assuming it's less for tightening heads and more for busting them?

Actually I keep it handy for tuning my drums backstage. Also if there is a shared backline and drum kit, I can use it to adjust the cymbal stands to the proper height. Every drummer should have one on his/her key ring.
The earplugs are for both the range and to save my ears from those 100 watt Marshall stacks and cymbal crashes.
