3.86 million serial number (July 1943)

Matching 6-43 barrel, MW about 1.5

Everything visible marked Remington.

When I came home with the box the wife's first comment was...Don't you already have one of those?

Her second comment was Wow, I think that's the prettiest rifle you own!

What do you think?

p.s. the Chantilly show had some neat stuff (I got the M1942 bayonet there, paid a fair price (which for one of those is scary).

There was a dealer with a rack of smith corona's though- good prices as well. If you are looking for a nice 03a3 and are realistic about what they sell for, I recommend a trip. Otherwise, unless you collect WWII memorabilia, it's just ok.

For Mrs. Drmsparks:

You are quite right, no one needs two of those, I'll be over to pick up this one shortly.

May I ask what you paid for it?

It was $595 off gunsamerica from a dealer in Ohio. That would place it under what guys have been asking on gunbroker but in the middle of the prices I saw at the show.

He advertised it as having a MW of 2 but it's closer to 1.5 on my gauge. The only bad thing about it is the screw for the front band is buggered up. I'll just have to add that to my Numrich order ($1.25)

It did not come with any of the accessories.

I have a brass oiler and pull through on order as well.

I have a brass oiler and pull through on order as well. Who has the 6" brass oilers for sale ? I need one for my 1917 Eddystone Enfield.

Northridge.

My first time ordering through them...

It should be here in a couple of days.

Now that you mention it I'll need to order another for my M1917 project gun.

It seems the shopping never stops...
